Darshan fan murder case: Kiccha Sudeep demands justice for the victim; says, “Film industry will be relieved if the culprit is punished”

Actor Kiccha Sudeep – who is a well-known and much-loved actor in the Kannada film industry, has commented on the Darshan fan murder case. For the unversed, actor Darshan Thoogudeepa – popularly known as the Challenging Star, his partner and several of his associates have been arrested by the police for the murder of a fan named Renuka Swamy.

During a recent media interaction, the ‘Makkhi’ actor reacted to the unsettling news and demanded justice for the victim, his wife, and their unborn child. He also spoke about the blame being put on the Kannada film industry and wished the case be resolved soon. Read on to know all he said.

Kiccha Sudeep reacts to the Darshan fan murder case

As reported by OneIndia, when asked about his stance on the Darshan fan murder case, Kiccha Sudeep told the media, “We are only aware of what the media is showing to us because we are not going to the police station to get the information. It looks like the media and the police are working hard to uncover the truth. There’s no doubt about that.”

Demanding justice for the deceased, Renuka Swamy and his family, the ‘Vikrant Rona’ actor said, “That family deserves justice. That girl deserves justice. Renuka Swamy, who died on the streets, deserves justice. The unborn child deserves justice. Above all, everyone should have faith in justice, and justice should prevail in this case.”

Sudeep: The industry needs a clean chit

During the same interaction, the actor said he hoped that the Kannada film industry would get a clean chit as the case has put it in a bad light. Hoping for the case to be resolved soon and the perpetrators punished, Kiccha Sudeep said, “Everyone’s heart goes out to that family. The atmosphere doesn’t feel right. The film industry should get justice. All the blame seems to be placed on the film industry. The industry needs a clean chit. There are many artists involved. Cinema is not just one or two people. The film industry will be relieved if the culprit is punished.”

About the Darshan fan murder case

As per reports, actor Darshan, his partner Pavithra Gowda, and nearly a dozen of his associates have been arrested for the murder of Renuka Swamy. Reportedly, the accused were furious with Swamy after he allegedly sent obscene messages and images to the Gowda. The deceased’s body was found near a stormwater drain with multiple injury marks on June 9. The post-mortem report revealed that Renuka was brutally assaulted. He reportedly sustained injuries inflicted by a lathi, ropes, a stick, a belt and multiple batons. The deceased’s hands and feet were tied during the attack.
