Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya and Dhanush file for divorce officially after living separate for 2 years: Reports

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth have been living separately since 2016 and they officially announced their separation in 2018. As per latest reports, the estranged couple have officially filed for divorce now and they will legally part ways by mutual consent.

As per reports by India Today, they have filed the petition under Section 13 B–divorce by mutual consent. Their case will be heard soon. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa have been living separately for the past two years.

When Dhanush shared a note confirming the separation

On January 17, 2022, Dhanush announced their separation on X after 18 years of marriage. His statement read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better (sic).”

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa, daughter of veteran actor Rajinikanth, tied the knot in 2004. They are parents to two sons, Yatra and Linga, who were born in 2006 and 2010, respectively.

Ever since their separation, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa have concentrated on their respective careers. Aishwaryaa made her directorial comeback with ‘Lal Salaam’, which featured Rajinikanth in an extended cameo. While Dhanush’s next film includes Raayan. He is all set to step into the shoes of music maestro Ilaiyaraaja in an upcoming biopic. It will be directed by Arun Matheswaran.
