In the video, Chay wore a beige sherwani and a dupatta around his neck. Wearing tinted glasses and sporting a heavy beard, Naga Chaitanya looked dapper. He was seen arriving in a vintage car that was decked up with flowers. Moreover, he arrived with a lot of people who were also dancing on the streets, indicating that he brought his baarat.

Later, the pictures were shared by Chay and Sobhita along with a joint statement, reading, “What could my mother be to yours? What kin is my father to yours anyway? And how did you and I meet ever? But in love our hearts are as red earth and pouring rain: mingled beyond parting.” Now, her makeup artist has shared a BTS video of Sobhita before the ceremony.

Nagarjuna talks about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s engagement ceremony

In an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna said that he was happy for his son to have found a partner. He said, “Sobhita and Chay make a wonderful couple. They love each other dearly.” Sharing details about the engagement date, Nagarjuna said, “We chose this day because it was very auspicious. Both families consulted the Nakshatras, and when we were told August 8 was a very auspicious day, we decided to go ahead with it.”
