After Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The Kurup actor shared the news of his diagnosis on social media on Thursday (January 20). He has also asked people who have recently come in contact with him to get themselves tested if they notice symptoms. He is currently isolating at home and has mild symptoms.
Dulquer wrote on Twitter, “I have just tested positive for COVID19. I’m isolating at home and have mild flu symptoms but am otherwise ok.” He added, “People who were in close contact with me during shoots over the last few days, please isolate and test if you notice symptoms.” He further wrote, “This pandemic is not over and we must stay vigilant. Please mask up and stay safe.”

A few days back, Dulquer’s father Mammootty had also tested positive for Covid. The actor had informed his fans on Twitter that he is doing fine.
“Despite taking all the necessary precautions I tested Covid positive yesterday. Besides a light fever I am otherwise fine. I am self isolating at home as per the directions of the concerned authorities. I wish for all of you to stay safe. Mask up at all times and take care,” read his tweet.
Dulquer’s cop drama Salute was supposed to release on January 14, but due to the rise in Covid-19 and Omicron cases, it has been postponed.
We wish Dulquer recovers soon!
