Tovino Thomas is currently is on cloud nine as his recently released Malayalam-language superhero film, Minnal Murali turned out to be a blockbuster. It was premiered on Netflix on December 24 in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Recently, the actor also did a cameo in Dulquer Salmaan’s crime-thriller film, Kurup. In which, he essayed the role of Charlie in the movie. Now, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Tovino revealed the reason why he agreed to do a cameo. He revealed that the character was truly significant for him. “It was just three days of shoot for me but that character was very important and I personally wanted that character to be justified.”

Further, he also spoke about his bond with Dulquer Salmaan. The Ennu Ninte Moideen actor revealed that he knows Dulquer since 2012. “I worked as an assistant director in Dulquer Salmaan’s third movie and it’s next movie I played the villain character, I played the negative lead. So, from then, we have this equation which cannot be disturbed by whatever happens outside so, we are very good friends but I never intrude into his space and he respects my space also but whenever something good happens to each other we communicate, we talk a lot.” Tovina also added that Kurup is directed by his close friend Srinath Rajendran.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tovino will be seen next in action-comedy film, Thallumaala which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Sharaf U Dheen in lead roles. Next, he has political thriller film, Naaradan with Anna Ben and it is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 27 January 2022 and lastly, he will also be seen in Anveshippin Kandethum.
