Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani given 6 months of waiting period before divorce

Actor Farhan Akhtar and estranged wife Adhuna Bhabani separated in January this year and the couple has been staying separately. Farhan and Adhuna filed for a divorce application on October 19. The two were spotted yesterday attending the counselling session.

A tabloid spilled the beans on the counselling session that was conducted by Family Court’s Principal Judge IJ Nanda. During the session, both of them were asked details of the petition and were granted the compulsory six months waiting period before finally getting a divorce.

Farhan Akhtar had tied the knot with Adhuna Bhabani in the year 2000 and the couple have two lovely daughters named Akira and Shakya. The duo want a full and final settlement. Also reports suggest that the bungalow will be owned solely by Adhuna after the divorce. She will receive a one-time alimony and have the custody of the kids whereas Farhan will have access to meet them whenever he wants to. The next hearing of the case will be on April 24 and most probably the divorce could be granted on the same day.
