Prasanth Varma is all set to present a new Telugu superhero universe rooted in Indian history and mythology starting with Hanu-Man. The film stars the talented Teja Sajja in the lead. Ahead of the film’s release, Hanu-Man director Prasanth Varma and Teja sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble and spoke about creating a superhero universe, SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, and a lot more.
Prasanth reveals how Baahubali inspired him
When reminded of Baahubali’s success and the storm it created, Prasanth said, “Baahubali already had big stars, a very star director and all that but this film doesn’t have any of that. The Baahubali had big budget and all that. Baahubali inspired us to dream big but if this film works, it will inspire thousands, I think lakhs of people to dream big, even without having big stars or big budget, or big star directors.”
He added, “Everyone can dream big. Everyone can attempt to do something like this again.”
Teja Sajja in Hanu-Man
Baahubali starred Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, and Trisha. The first part Baahubali: The Beginning was released in 2015, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion released in 2027. Both the parts emerged as hits at the box office.
Given the amazing trailer of Hanu-Man, the Prasanth Varma directorial is expected to win hearts once the film releases. Apart from Teja Sajja, Hanu-man also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Amritha Aiyer. Hanu-Man is slated to release on January 12, 2024.
On the other hand, Prasanth and Teja also spoke about the timing of the film’s release being close to the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
