Happy Birthday Samantha: Makers of Shaakuntalam unveil ethereal poster to wish the actress

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen in mythological drama Shaakuntalam. Today, the diva has turned a year older and to mark the special occasion, the team of the movie shared a new poster of Samantha. In the pic, she could be seen as princess clad in white. She was in a white saree and floral jewellery. Earlier, the makers of Shaakuntalam revealed the first look of Samantha where she posed in a white saree. The Yashoda actress is playing Shakuntala.

Sharing the surreal pic, the makers tweeted, “Wishing.. the Ethereal.. “Shakuntala” from #Shaakuntalam our @Samanthaprabhu2 a very Happy Birthday”.

Shaakuntalam is inspired by the popular play Shakuntala. Directed by Gunasekhar, it also has Dev Mohan who is playing Dushyanta. Also, Allu Arjun’s daughter, Allu Arha will be making her acting debut. She is playing Prince Bharat. The movie will release in five languages- Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil.

Apart from Shaakuntalam, Sam will be seen in Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal that also has Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. She will also star in Vijay Deverakonda’s untitled film VD11. She is in Kashmir right now to shoot for the film. Samantha also has Citadel, alongside Varun Dhawan, and the Hollywood film, Arrangement of Love in her kitty.
