Hit & Run Case – Witness turns hostile in Salman Khan’s case

Salman Khan’s Hit & Run Case retrial, has stared with the actor being present in the court for the proceeding.Today a security guard here backtracked from his earlier statement given to the police.

A security Guard Sachin Kadam who worked with ‘Neelsagar’, a restaurant that is situated directly opposite the accident site. He has turned hostile and told the court that he had not seen Salman Khan. Either alighting from the car or running away from it, on the fateful night of the accident.

Sachin Kadam said, “It is not correct, that I had seen the incident and I also saw Salman Khan getting down from the car. I didn’t tell the police that.”

Another witness Mohammad Abdullah Rauf Shaikh did identify Salman Khan, but he too did not confirm that Salman Khan was involved in the accident. Mohammad was one of the victims pulled from underneath Sallu’s car. The man had sustained injuries. He confirmed Salman Khan was standing there,”I don’t know if Salman was also trying to rescue the victims. Some taxi drivers and bakery workers were saying that Salman was involved in the accident.”

After identifying the actor, he said that. “My statement was recorded at Bhabha hospital where I was admitted for a month and a half. I had told the police that the taxi drivers and bakery workers said that Salman had caused the accident.”

After a total of 10 witnesses who testified today four are missing and some more will testify on Wednesday.
