A day after the Income Tax Department raided properties belonging to Allu Arjun-led Pushpa 2: The Rule producers Mythri Movie Makers, the IT department carried out a raid at director and co-producer Sukumar’s residence on Wednesday morning. Read on to know the details available about the raid.
Income Tax raids Sukumar’s properties
As per a Sakshi Post article, the Income Tax Department raided filmmaker Sukumar’s house and office in Hyderabad on Wednesday, January 22. The raid reportedly began early in the morning and continued for several hours. Reportedly, the filmmaker was at the Hyderabad airport when he was escorted by the IT officials back to his residence. The raids was conducted once he reached the property.
However, details about the purpose of the raid or the findings have not been disclosed as of now. No official from the Income Tax department has made any statement regarding the raid yet.
At the moment, director Sukumar is enjoying success thanks to the massive love Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule has received at the worldwide box office. For the unversed, the film has earned over Rs 1500 crore globally.
