Jai Bhim Trailer: Suriya’s courtroom drama on social discrimination will make you think hard

Much to fans’ excitement, the trailer of the most-awaited movie Jai Bhim is out. Suriya and the makers took to their respective official social media handles to share the video of their upcoming movie. Sharing the link, Suriya tweeted, “It’s time to show the power of truth and faith!!”He added the links to both Telugu and Tamil trailers.

The trailer starts with Suriya as lawyer Chandru shouting slogans of justice and mouths powerful dialogues on law and how we use it. He takes the government to court on behalf of a tribal woman. We learn how several atrocities were committed by the police officers against a tribal community. We see how on the one hand police mercilessly beat them up, on other hand, lawyers dismiss their pleas for justice.

The movie promises to showcase the sad reality of the oppressed section of society. For the unversed, the movie is inspired by real-life events that happened in the 90s. And Jai Bhim is the slogan used by followers of Ambedkar. This high-voltage social and political drama is written and directed by journalist-turned-filmmaker TJ Gnanavel.

Aside from Suriya, the movie also stars Rajisha Vijayan, Rao Ramesh, K Manikandan and Ravi Venkatraman and Prakash Raj in key roles. For the unversed, Suriya has also bankrolled the movie under his production banner 2D Entertainment. The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video ahead of Diwali on November 2. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages and received A certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification.

Speaking of Suriya, he is currently busy shooting for director Pandiraj’s Etharkum Thunindhavan.
