Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar passed away in October 2021. His sudden demise left fans and friends devastated. Puneeth will be seen one last time in the upcoming film James. On 26th January Puneeth’s brother ShivaRajkumar unveiled the first poster of the film.

Taking to Twitter, Shiva Rajkumar shared the poster of Puneeth’s movie ‘James’ and wrote, “Appu as James.. Happy Republic Day to all.”

Several fans took to the comments section to remember Puneeth, who was fondly called as Appu. One fan wrote: “Your passing is a life-threatening pain, you will always be in my heart. Power star Appu sir miss you.” Another fan wrote: “Appu sir rocking in the poster.”

James” is written and directed by Chethan Kumar. The movie also stars Anu Prabhakar, Srikanth, R Sarathkumar, Tilak Shekar, and Mukesh Rishi. The movie is set to release on March 17, coinciding with Puneeth Rajkumar’s birth anniversary.

Puneeth was the son of superstar Rajkumar. He started his career as a child artist with the 1985 film Bettadu Hoovi. He went on to win the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. The actor made his debut as the lead star with the 2002 Kannada film Appu. Some of his popular films are Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Arasu, Raam, Hudugaru and Anjani Putra, among others. His last big-screen release was action-thriller “Yuvarathnaa” in April 2021.
