Jawan director Atlee recently confirmed that he is working on a script that will see superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay sharing screen space. He also revealed how this collaboration will happen.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan directed by Atlee turned out to be a massive success. The movie was expected to have South superstar Thalapathy Vinay’s cameo but unfortunately, this didn’t turn out to be true. However, Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay met at Atlee’s party in Chennai after which the audience is excited to see them share screen space. A few months back, Atlee revealed that the actors requested him to make a two-hero film and cast them. Now, the Atlee himself has confirmed that he is working on a script for a film featuring both Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay.

In an interview with popular Tamil TV presenter and YouTuber Gopinath, Atlee revealed an update about the SRK-Vijay film. He recalled Atlee visiting Jawan set during song Zinda Banda set and had a conversation with SRK. The director shared, “I called Vijay Anna and invited him to the party, and he said he would make it for sure. So, when he came, Shah Rukh sir and Anna discussed between themselves and called me. Shah Rukh sir told me if I ever have plans of directing a dual hero film, they both are ready for it. Vijay Anna also said, ‘Ama pa’. So, I am working on it. It could be my next film. I am working very hard to come up with a script for it. Let’s see.”

For the unversed, Thalapathy Vijay and Atlee have earlier collaborated on projects like Bigil, Mersal, and Theri.

Talking about the possibility of collaboration, Atlee earlier said, “Vijay sir and Shah Rukh sir, both said the same thing that ‘bring a script and we will work together’. I also thought that they were saying all this for my birthday as a gift. The next day, Vijay sir messaged me saying that if you are going to write such a script, I will be a part of it. Shah Rukh sir, who was right next to me said ‘Sir, you are serious about this na? We will make a film together, right?’“.

Talking about Atlee’s recent movie Jawan also starred Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, among other actors in pivotal roles. It also featured Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo. The movie was released in theatres on 7^th September and created a record by collected over 1100 crore globally.
