Singer Kalpana Raghavendar Hospitalised After Alleged Su*cide Attempt; Investigation Underway

Renowned singer Kalpana Raghavendar – who hails from a family with musicians like father TS Raghavendra (playback singer, composer and actor), mother Sulochana (singer) and sister Shekinah Shawn (opera singer) has been hospitalised. As per reports, the singer attempted to end her life by su*cide before being rushed to the hospital. Read on to know the details.

Kalpana Raghavendar Hospitalised After Alleged Su*cide Attempt

As per a recent PTI report, Telugu singer Kalpana Raghavendar allegedly attempted su*cide at her residence in Hyderabad. According to their Tuesday evening report, she was found unconscious at her home. A police official at KPHB Police Station stated that doctors treating the singer said the singer likely took sleeping pills, and was hence unconscious. More details regarding why she took the step will be known after she regains consciousness.

As per TV, the singer was rushed to a private hospital in Nizampet after her husband Prasad called their community people to do a welfare check on her after she didn’t pick up his calls. Her husband was in Chennai and it had been two days since anyone contacted her.

The police officer further stated that the singer’s condition is stable and she is “out of danger”. However, she is currently on ventilator. Nobody from the singer’s family has commented on the matter yet.
