Kannada actress Shanaya Katwe arrested for allegedly killing her brother

Kannada model-actress Shanaya Katwe has been arrested by Hubballi Rural police on Thursday in her brother Rakesh Katwe’s murder case. As per reports, his body was chopped off and his decapitated head was found in Devaragudihal forest area and the other mutilated body parts were dumped across Gadag Road and other different parts of Hubballi, Karnataka. It is reported that he has been strangled to death.

As per a report in the New Indian Express, the Dharwad district police have nabbed 4 other suspects who have been identified as Niyazahemed Katigar (21), Tousif Channapur (21), Altaf Mulla (24), and Aman Giraniwale (19).

It was during the investigation, it was known that Shanaya was allegedly in love with the accused Niyazahemed Katigar. Rakesh was against their relationship that led to his murder.

Reportedly, the murder took place at Shanaya and Rakesh’s house in Hubballi. It was when the former had visited the city to promote her upcoming film Ondu Ghanteya Kathe​.

Shanaya made her acting debut with the Kannada film Idam Premam Jeevanam in 2018.  Ondu Ghanteya Kathe​is her upcoming adult comedy where she will be seen with Ajay Raj and Swathi Sharma.
