Karan Johar is celebrating 10 years of his film ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’. The hashtag #10YearsOfKANK trended on Twitter early Thursday morning. The movie that was an examination of an extramarital affair and its consequences released on August 11, 2006. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji the movie explored themes of adultery and was promoted with the tag-line, “A Love That Broke All Relationships”.
Amitabh Bachchan took a walk down the memory lane and tweeted,

Big B was soon followed by Karan Johar who shared his thoughts about the “most special film” of his career. “#10YearsOfKANK the most special film of my career…a film that found love in retrospect and in abundance..,” he tweeted.

‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ was one of those magical movies that leave behind an impact on the mind for ages to come. It was a huge success at the box-office on the international level too. The film was screened in over 1,200 cinemas worldwide, grossing a worldwide total of Rs 1.13 billion. It was also screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the script was invited to be included in the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
At present Karan Johar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming co-production ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ that stars Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif in lead roles on September 9. While megastar Amitabh Bachchan is basking in the praises for the trailer of his upcoming  film ‘Pink.’ The film will be releasing on September 16.
