The leggy lass, Kriti Sanon, who debuted in Bollywood opposite Tiger Shroff, won over the audience with her act in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’. But the actress, who has been gaining an upper hand in upcoming releases with top filmmakers signing her up, has lost a project to star kid Athiya Shetty.
Athiya, who had debuted in Bollywood in Salman Khan Film ‘Hero’, will apparently replace Kriti in Sidharth Anand’s upcoming release. The movie titled ‘Badla’ is all about a father and daughter relationship with lots of action. It stars Sanjay Dutt in the title role. The makers were on a lookout for a tall, athletic actress for the role, now both Athiya and Kriti fit the bill, but as Sanjay is quite close to Athiya’s father Suneil Shetty he has insisted on having Athiya Shetty on-board.
A source reveals, “Though Sidharth wanted to cast Kriti Sanon for the role, Dutt who shares a god equation with Suneil, prefers his daughter to play the female protagonist. Athiya will be playing the role of a boxer who does not share a cordial relation with his father. Athiya has even undergone training in Martial Art so she fits the bill perfectly”
Well being a star kid has its gain, doesn’t it?
