Mahaan Trailer: Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram starrer is perfect blend of action, drama and intense emotions

After unveiling the posters and teaser, the makers of Mahaan today (February 3) dropped its trailer. The movie stars father-son duo Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram. Mahaan is Vikram’s 60th film. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the action-thriller will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 10, 2022. The Tamil film is produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio and also stars Bobby Simha and Simran in pivotal roles apart from Vikram and Dhruv Vikram.

Mahaan trailer shows us the story of a simple man, Gandhi Mahaan (Chiyaan Vikram) who goes through a personal crisis when his family walks out on him when he follows a different path and aims to become the king of all bootleggers. Even when he succeeds as the liquor baron, he misses the presence of his son and wants him back in his life. Dhruv Vikram plays Dada, Mahaan’s son. What follows is an action packed narrative with unexpected events unfolding in his life that take him through highs and lows, changing the course of his existence.

Vikram said in a statement that Mahaan will have the audiences hooked. On his character he said, “My character in the movie has multiple shades and it was very interesting to transition from one emotion to another as the story progressed.” Talking about his son, the actor said that he has worked very hard for this role, and he is very proud of him.

Karthik Subbaraj said, “Mahaan is a labour of love for me with a strong cast and crew supporting me by giving their very best. It is always a delight to work with Vikram, and Mahaan has been extra-special, as it is the 60th movie in his expansive and impressive career. The movie has also given me the opportunity to bring together and direct the dynamic father-son duo of Vikram and Dhruv in their first onscreen appearance together ever.”

Also, it is very special to Dhruv Vikram as this is the first time he is getting to share screen space with his father. He added, “He is a very talented man with an excellent understanding of the craft and I have so much to learn from him”.
