Mahesh Babu immerses late mother Indira Devi’s ashes in Haridwar, conducts pooja

Superstar Mahesh Babu recently lost his mother Indira Devi on September 28 due to health issues at a private hospital in Hyderabad. She was cremated the same day at Mahaprasanthanam. The actor who was quite close to his mother flew to Haridwar post her cremation. He immersed her ashes in the Ganga River there. After immersing his mother’s ashes, the Spyder star also performed a puja for her.

Pictures of the superstar as he performed the ritual surfaced on social media. The Sarkaru Vaari Paata actor was seen wearing a white shirt and dhoti, which is called pancha kattu as performed the rituals.

Mahesh Babu’s mother’s mortal remains were kept at Padmalaya Studios for fans and actor’s fraternity friends to visit. The actor and his daughter Sitara were inconsolable during the last rites of Indira Devi. Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and others attended the last rites and paid their respects to the Matriarch of the  Ghattamaneni family. The last rites were performed at Maha Prasthanam.

The Maharshi star recently took to his official Instagram handle and posted an old picture of her mother. In the caption, he added hearts as he remembered his late mother.

On the work front, Mahesh Babu was last seen in director Parasuram’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The actor is presently shooting for his upcoming film with director Trivikram Srinivas. He reportedly also has an action adventure film with SS Rajamouli in his kitty.
