Actor Mahesh Babu opened up about his Bollywood debut during an event recently. The actor revealed why he does not have any plans of working in the Hindi film industry. At the trailer launch of the film Major, Mahesh Babu spilled the beans on his Bollywood debut. The actor said that ‘Bollywood can’t afford’ him.
During an interaction with the media at the trailer launch event of Major, the actor mentioned that he has got many offers to perform in Hindi films. He said that he doesn’t want to waste his time working in the Hindi film industry as they cannot afford him. The Sarileru Neekevvaru actor also said that he has always thought of doing films and becoming bigger. He mentioned his dream is already coming true now.
Mahesh Babu said, “I did get a lot of offers in Hindi, but I don’t think they can afford me. I don’t want to waste my time working in an industry which can’t afford me.”

He added, “The stardom and the respect I get here [in South] is huge, so I never really thought of leaving my industry and going to some other industry. I have always thought of doing films and becoming bigger. My dream is coming true now and I can’t be happier.”
Meanwhile, the actor is currently gearing up for the release of Major, produced by him. The movie stars Adivi Sesh in a key role.
Work-wise, Mahesh was last seen in the movie Sarileru Neekevvaru. The movie last released in 2020. The actor has the movie Sarkaru Vaari Petla in his kitty, along with a film with SS Rajamouli. The film Sarkaru Vaari Petla is directed by Parasuram Petla.
