Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is all set to collaborate with actor Mahesh Babu, for his next project, after the massive success of RRR. The movie is among the much-anticipated ones of the coming years, for several reasons. Mahesh Babu will mark his entry into the Pan-India cinema, with the SS Rajamouli directorial. A new interesting update on the movie has now surfaced. And, it gives more details about the project.
Mahesh Babu character inspired by Lord Hanuman in SS Rajamouli movie
According to a report in Pinkvilla, sources revealed that Mahesh Babu will play a character inspired by Lord Hanuman in the jungle adventure directed by Rajamouli. The report mentioned that the actor’s character will be seen fighting all odds in the jungles. The source in the report said, “SS Rajamouli loves to take inspiration from Ramayana and Mahabharata. He makes films rooted in Indian culture and his next with Mahesh Babu will be no different.”
In the report, the source added, “While the film is an African Jungle Adventure, Mahesh Babu’s character will have traits similar to Lord Hanuman, who also has a history of fight against all odds in the jungles. In-fact, even trajectory of the character will follow the route of Ramayana, but with a spin given in by SS Rajamouli.”
According to the source in the report, Rajamouli’s jungle adventure is currently in the writing stage. The report mentioned that the team is aiming to take the movie on floors by the year end. As per the report, the movie will be extensively shot in the Amazon forest and is touted to be ‘most expensive’.
Meanwhile, RRR is known to find references from Ramayana and Mahabharata, for the characters of his previous films. He has done the same previously, with his movies RRR and Baahubali.
Talking about the collaboration, the movie is also set to feature Deepika Padukone. The actress is teaming up with Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli, for this project, as per reports.
On the work front, Mahesh Babu has a few projects in his kitty. Rajamouli directed the film RRR. The movie was released last year and it bagged an Oscar award for the song Naatu Naatu.
