Malayalam actor-comedian Kottayam Pradeep passes away at 61

Popular Malayalam actor-comedian Kottayam Pradeep passes away. Pradeep KR, fondly known as Kottayam Pradeep by fans was just 61. The popular actor passed away due to a heart attack on Thursday. Reportedly the actor who felt uneasiness by 3 am, was rushed to a private hospital in Kottayam. However, he breathed his last by 4 am.

As the news of his demise spread many popular celebrities and fans took to social media to pay tributes to the actor.

Prithviraj Sukumaran took to Twitter to pay his tribute to the late actor by writing, “Rest in peace, Kottayam Pradeep!” He also shared a photo of him.

Pradeep KR aka Kottayam Pradeep marked his debut in 2001 at the age of 40 with the film Ee Nadu Enale Vare. He has acted in over 70 films. His most popular works include titles like Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, Life of Josutty, Kunjiramayanam. Also Welcome to Central Jail, Amar Akbar Antony, Adi Kapyare Kootamani and Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. He is known for his special style of rendering dialogues. He will last be seen in Mohanlal starrer Aarattu that is directed by B. Unnikrishnan.

Kottayam Pradeep leaves behind his wife Maya and children Vishnu and Vrinda.
