Malayalam actress Miya’s father George Joseph passes away at 75

Malayalam actress Miya’s father George Joseph passed away on Tuesday (September 21) at the age of 75. As per reports, the last rites will happen at St Augustine’s Forane Church at Pravithanam on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife Mini, daughters Gini and Miya and both son-in-law Lino George and Ashwin Philip.

Miya, who was very close to her father, never missed a chance to show her unconditional love for him through photos on social media sites. For the unversed, Miya got married to businessman Ashwin Philip in September last year and the couple recently, welcomed their first child, a baby boy Luca Joseph Philip.

Miya, who started her acting career with TV serials got a big break in the movie called Chettayees in 2012. best known for her roles in the films Memories (2013), Vishudhan (2013), Mr. Fraud (2014), Amara Kaaviyam (2014), Indru Netru Naalai (2015) among many.

Miya George was last seen in Guardian which was directed by Satheesh Paul. She will be next seen in Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra. This year, unfortunately, many Malayalam stalwarts and artists or their family members passed away. One of the popular Malayalam actors Rizabawa recently died at a private hospital in Kochi. A few months ago, Malayalam actress Nallenai Chitra too left for heavenly abode after suffering a major heart attack.

In May, Malayalam actor PC George passed away today. He was suffering from kidney-related ailments. In April, author, actor and screenwriter, P Balachandran died after being ill for several months.
