Malayalam superstar Mammootty has tested positive for Covid-19. Taking to his Twitter handle, the actor informed his fans that he has contracted the virus. He has isolated himself at home. The One actor urged everyone to wear mask all times and take care.
“Despite taking all the necessary precautions I tested Covid positive yesterday. Besides a light fever I am otherwise fine. I am self isolating at home as per the directions of the concerned authorities. I wish for all of you to stay safe. Mask up at all times and take care,” read his tweet.

On the work front, Mammootty will star in Netflix anthology, which reportedly will have filmmakers such Lijo Jose Pellisery, Priyadarshan, Jayaraj, Shyamaprasad, Santosh Sivan, and Mahesh Narayanan on board. The official announcement is yet to be made. He will also be seen in CBI 5, the first look of which was shared recently. Mammootty is back as Sethurama Iyer.
Talking about Covid-19, the cases now stands at 3.73 crore. This includes 8,209 cases of the Omicron variant. Meanwhile, on January 16, India crossing 157 crore COVID-19 vaccinations in just one year.
