Mammootty to play a crucial role in Akhil Akkineni starrer Agent?

Akhil Akkineni starrer Agent is one of the most-awaited movies. It has been creating a lot of buzz since its announcement. Also, posters of Akhil from the movie have been revealed. As per the latest reports, Mollywood superstar Mammootty has been taken on board for Agent. He will reportedly play a crucial role in this upcoming Telugu spy thriller. Apparently, he will be essaying the role of an army officer in Agent. Reports also state that Mammootty would be leaving for Europe soon and has allocated 10 days of shoot. The official announcement is yet to be made by the makers. Agent is directed by Surender Reddy and is jointly backed by Anil Sunkara and Surender Reddy under the banners, AK Entertainments and Surrender 2 Cinema. Agent is written by Vamsi Vakkantham while music is composed by S. Thaman.

A source told Cinema Express, “The makers felt that Mammootty and Akhil will be an exciting combination and approached the former. The confrontation scenes and dialogues between them are going to be a treat to watch.”

Akhil Akkineni has gone through a huge transformation mentally and physically for his role in Agent.

Akhil is currently basking in the success of his recent released film Most Eligible Bachelor that hit the screens on October 15.

Coming back to Mammootty, on the work front, he will be seen in Bheeshma Parvam, Puzhu, CBI 5, and Bilal.
