Actor Sanjay Dutt who had surrendered to the TADA court, to complete his sentence of 42 more months in jail following his conviction in the Mumbai Blast Case, was to be shifted to Pune’s  Yerawada Jail after spending a night At Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. But now it looks like the the Mumbai Police is in a dilemma,as to where should he be shifted.
As per sources,Maharashtra police today said that it would take them at least 15 days to decide if they should keep Sanjay in Arthur Road’s Anda cell, where he is currently lodged, they said”We will take some more time to take a call on whether to shift Sanjay Dutt or not. He will not be shifted anywhere in the near future,”said Additional Director General of Police (Prisons) Meera Borwankar.
The reason for this is that they are gathering information such as number of convicts, security conditions, presence of inmates linked to underworld etc.Reportedly the actor has been restless at nights, reading religious books, also feels suffocation due to inadequate ventilation and light in the notorious Anda Cell.
A jail is a jail wherever it is.
