Did Nayanthara confirm engagement to beau Vignesh Shivan? Watch VIRAL video

South actress Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan have been dating each other for nearly six years now. They fell in love while shooting for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Reportedly, they have been living together. In most of the pics of Nayanthara, we have seen her flaunting a golden ring that has sparked her engagement rumours with Vignesh. Well, the couple has not spoken about it earlier. But in the recent video that has gone viral, we see the lady superstar confirming her engagement to Vignesh. This is the first time she has admitted about her engagement to Vignesh on a public platform.

Nayanthara is currently busy promoting her upcoming Tamil film, Netrikann, which is releasing on August 13. She recently appeared on Vijay Television to promote her film. In the promo video, we could see Nayanthara speaking about the ‘engagement’ ring that Vignesh Shivan gifted her. She also revealed what she likes and dislikes about her beau. Nayanthara is interviewed by Dhivyadharshini and the show will be aired on August 15 at 10.30 am, on the occasion of Independence Day. In the promo, Dhivyadharshi asks Nayanthara about the ring to which she said, “This is an engagement ring”.

There were reports that they will tie the knot soon. In an AMA session conducted by Vignesh recently, he opened up about his wedding plans. One of his fans asked him about when he is planning to get married to his ladylove. He said, “Romba selavu aagum bro marriage and all (It’ll cost a lot to arrange a wedding)….so saving money for marriage and waiting for corona to go away.”

On the work front, Nayanthara will be seen in Netrikann that is produced by Vignesh Shivan under the banner Rowdy Pictures. It is directed by Milind Rau. Vignesh Shivan has Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal that stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni.
