Nayanthara reunites with Ashwin Saravanan for horror film Connect; first look out

Nayanthara has reunited with Game Over director Ashwin Saravanan for her upcoming project. It is a horror film titled Connect. The news is shared by Vignesh Shivan’s Rowdy Pictures on social media. Even, Vignesh revealed the news on his ladylove’s birthday. Nayanthara is celebrating her 37th birthday today, and this is the best treat to her by the makers. Her first-look from Connect is also unveiled. The movie also stars Anupam Kher and Sathyaraj.

Sharing the posters, Rowdy Pictures wrote, “Here’s the announcement you’ve been waiting for! Presenting to you the first look of #Connect on this very special day #HBDNayanthara #Connect #ConnectFirstLook @VigneshShivn @AnupamPKher #Sathyaraj @Ashwin_saravana (sic).”

In the poster, we see Nayanthara drawing a cross symbol on the wall using holy water. Vignesh, who is bankrolling the project had also shared the title tease poster yesterday that showed a Bible and a rosary. Nothing much about the film is revealed yet.

This is Nayanthara’s second movie with Ashwin. For the unversed, Ashwin’s debut Maaya starred the Lady Superstar in the lead. Also, talking about Anupam Kher, with Connect, he is returning to Tamil cinema. He was last seen in 2007’s Kuttrapathrikkai, where he played Rajiv Gandhi.

The second look of Connect shows the character Haniya Nafisa standing near the window of a room that is filled with inverse cross symbols. The poster comes with the tagline that reads,”The devil doesn’t leave quitely.”

Apart from Connect, Nayanthara also has Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by Vignesh Shivan.
