OMG! This renowned filmmaker just took a dig at Priyanka Chopra!

Actress Priyanka Chopra has carved a successful path for herself internationally in a short span of time, but it looks like back home, everything is not hunky-dory. PeeCee who made an appearance on a famous American talk show gave some statements to the host Chelsea Handler that were not taken too kindly by a renowned Bollywood filmmaker.

PeeCee had said in the interview, “I decided to go back to India to finish my work on weekends. In India we have no concept of weekends.”

This comment made by PeeCee on the USA talk show clearly hinted at the work culture in India. This did not go down well with a well-known filmmaker who had offered her a biographical role. Here’s what he said, “I hear she’s turning down projects in India to focus on her career in the US. Which is fine. Now she declares on American television that she returns to India only on weekends to complete her work, and that too because she gets time off from her American series. Since she really doesn’t have any films to complete in India I suggest she concentrate on consolidating her career in America. We’ll manage without her somehow.”

Now, this reply has left us thinking as to what exactly went wrong between the filmmaker and the actress. Priyanka is currently busy shooting for the second season of ‘Quantico’ and is geared up for her big screen Hollywood debut with ‘Baywatch’. She is also busy with her Marathi production ‘Ventilator’. With so much happening for the lady, we are sure she will take sometime to be back in Bollywood.
