On Simbu’s birthday, ex-girlfriend Hansika Motwani wishes her Maha co-star

As South star Silambarasan TR aka Simbu has turned a year older today, fans, well-wishers and celebs are wishing the actor on social media. Simbu’s ex-girlfriend, Hansika Motwani also wished him. She took to her Twitter handle to wish Simbu.

“Happiest birthday @SilambarasanTR_have a blessed year #HappyBirthdaySTR(sic)”, she tweeted.

For the unversed, Hansika and Simbu dated for a few years and they announced their relationship in 2013. Reports suggest that they developed feelings for each other while shooting for their Tamil films Vaalu and Vettai Mannan. But they parted ways. The reason for her their break-up is still not known.

After Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Simbu had to struggle a lot as his films did not work at the box office. As per a report in IBTimes, Simbu had opened up about his tough phase at an event related to Santhanam’s Inimey Ippadithaan. He also spoke about Hansika. He had said, “I thought my girlfriend (Hansika) will be with me, but she ditched me when I was struggling. (Laughs). I was hoping to forget my pain by looking at my child’s face after getting married, but that did not happen…I think God is testing me. Everything had gone, but I only have this life. Then I realised that there is a purpose why I am still alive. In spite of my highs and lows, fans are still with me.”

Simbu and Hansika will be seen in Maha and this is their first movie together post their break-up. Maha is Hansika’s 50th film.
