Ponniyin Selvan 1: AR Rahman shares an epic flight selfie with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha as they fly for promotions

Ponniyin Selvan is one of the most anticipated films. The first part of the magnum opus is all set to release in theatres on September 30. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the movie stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, and others. The promotions have kickstarted and on Friday, Aishwarya left for Hyderabad for the promotions of Ponniyin Selvan 1. A pic has gone viral from the flight where Aishwarya, Vikram, AR Rahman and Trisha are seen posing for a selfie. The pic was while they were coming back to Mumbai from Hyderabad for promotions.

The epic selfie has been shared by music maestro AR Rahman on his Instagram handle. In the pic, Rahman and Vikram are seen seated together while Aishwarya and Trisha are seen seating together on the plane. Aish and Tisha are seen having a chat in the flight.

Sharing the pic, Rahman wrote, “Guess who’s travelling with me …Enroute to #mumbai from #Hyderabad …PS 1 promotions !(sic)”.

Ponniyin Selvan also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Prakash Raj. Chiyaan Vikram is playing the role of Aditya Karikalan, the crown prince of the Chozha empire. Aishwarya is playing Queen Nandini. This is in a double role. Trisha Krishnan will be seen as princess Kundavai Devi. While Jayam Ravi plays Aditya and Kundavai’s younger brother Arunmozhi Varman,

The historical drama is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. It is produced under the banners, Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. PS-1 will release in theatres on September 30, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Music is given by AR Rahman.
