The Preity – Ness case has taken a new turn with Industrialist Sharat Nath stepping up in support of tycoon Ness Wadia. Ness Wadia the scion to business house Bombay Dyeing, is accused of molesting his former girlfriend and actress Preity Zinta during an IPL match in Mumbai on May 30. This match was between ‘Kings XI Punjab’ and ‘Chennai Super Kings’ being held at Wankhede Stadium when the said incident took place.
As per sources, Sharat claimed that he was very much present but did not witness any argument between Preity and Ness. He said, “Yes, I was present and I was standing around 10-12 rows behind Preity. She was in the very first row. I saw Wadia coming with a family member. He went up to Preity and had a discussion, but it did not look like a heated argument. Then he came back and I said hello to him.”
Nath further added that, “I saw Preity throughout the match. I did not see them both going together somewhere. Whatever I saw there didn’t ring an alarm bell. I didn’t see Wadia touching her. He just walked away. From their body language, it just looked like two people talking to each other. After a little while, I went to the air-conditioned box. Wadia also came there after some time. He was there with a family member and he seemed to be in a jovial mood.”
Actress Preity Zinta has just returned to the country from abroad and its being reported that the police might record her statement today or tomorrow. The police have already taken down statements of BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel in connection with the case. Some few witnesses too have stepped forward and given their statements.
