On Monday, it was reported that Prithviraj injured himself during an action scene on the sets of his upcoming movie Vilayath Buddha. A day after the incident, Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his Instagram and shared his health update. The actor revealed that he underwent surgery. He further mentioned that he will be resting for a couple of months before getting back into action.

The actor shared a post on his Instagram that read, “Hello! So yes… I had an accident while shooting an action sequence for VILAYATH BUDDHA. Fortunately, I’m in the hands of experts who performed key hole surgery and I’m now recouping.”
He further added, “It’s rest and physiotherapy ahead for a couple of months. Will try my best to use that time constructively, and I promise to fight through the pain to recover fully and get back into action asap. Thank you to all those who reached out and expressed concern and love.” The actor captioned his post saying, “Thank you! (red heart and folded hands emojis).”
