Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared a post on social media where he raised his voice for the people of Lakshadweep. He wrote in the post that he has been receiving a lot of messages from the people living there. Recently, there have been many news coming up that people living on the island are unhappy with the new law reforms formed by the new administrator of the UT. Hashtags #standwithlakshadweep and #savelakshadweep have been trending since many days. Well, the Lucifer director spoke about those issues that people were sending him through messages.

Prithviraj who made his debut as a director with Lucifer shot the movie in Lakshadweep. His super hit movie Anarkali was also shot in Lakshadweep. Sharing the memories, he wrote, “I spent a good 2 months in Kavaratti and made memories and friends for a lifetime. Two years back, I went back again to film what was probably the most challenging sequence of my directorial debut LUCIFER.”

He added, “For the last two days, I’ve been getting desperate messages from people I know and don’t know from these Islands, requesting and sometimes even pleading for me to do what I can to bring public attention to what is going on there.” Towards the end of the post, he wrote, “I have faith in our system and even more faith in our people. So please, to whomsoever it may concern, do listen to the voice of the people of Lakshwadeep, trust them to know what is better for their lands.”
