Prithviraj Sukumaran to undergo surgery after meeting an accident during a shoot- Reports

Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran was recently shooting for his upcoming film Vilayath Buddha when he met with an accident. According to reports, the actor suffered a serious injury in his leg and consequently, he had to be admitted to the hospital.

The actor was reportedly shooting for an action sequence when things went sideways and the actor suffered an injury in his leg. He was shooting in Marayur when the accident happened. Prithviraj has been admitted to a private hospital in Kochi and will reportedly be undergoing a surgery. The procedure tok place on Monday morning. The actor will be taking a breather for a few months to recover and consequently the shoot has also been paused till he is back at work.

An industry tracker, Sreedhar Pillai updated about the same on Twitter. He had tweeted, “Leading actor #PrithvirajSukumaran met with an accident on location of his #VilayathBuddha in Marayur while shooting an action scene on Sunday. Today he will undergo a keyhole surgery on his leg at a private hospital in Kochi. He is expected to take a complete rest for a few weeks! Wishing @PrithviOfficial a speedy recovery.”

Prithviraj Sukumaran upcoming movies

On the work front, apart form Vilayath Buddha, the actor has another Malayalam film in the pipeline titled Aadujeevitham. He is actively working in the Hindi sector as well. This year, he turned a Hindi film producer with Selfiee, which he co-produced with Karan Johar. The film starred Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in the lead and was an official remake of his film Driving Licence.

Prithviraj is reuniting with Akshay for another film, this time as a co-actor. The duo will appear together in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which also stars Tiger Shroff, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F. Apart from that, Prithviraj also has Salaar with Prabhas. He will reportedly also star alongside Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the latter’s acting debut.
