Priyanka Chopra faces criticism from locals

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is in for some criticism from the locals for a road being named on her father the late Dr Ashok Chopra. PeeCeee was overcome with emotions when a road leading to her residence was given the name of her late father Ashok Chopra, a renowned surgeon, army man and philanthropist. He had lost his battle with Cancer leaving PeeCee ‘Daddy’s Lil girl’ quiet bereft. Well the netizens of the city decided to honour him by giving a street his name.

As per sources, The late Dr.Chopra has a street named in his honor, located in Yari Road close to the Chopra residence. However, the event grabbed attention a few local residents are not happy with the development. It seems that the road was revamped and a pandal was erected after 10 pm which is the deadline, for the naming ceremony that had Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray doing the honours.. People around Priyanka’s resident also complained about their cars getting towed and roads getting blocked.

Tis move was not appreciated by many who feel that the matyrs of the country should be honoured thus. A young soldiers mother who had given his life for the nation in Kargil war felt cheated eevn a social worker feels that there were freedom fighters after whom the road could have been named.
