Prabhas and Pooja Hegde having a rift on the sets of Radhe Shyam? Makers react to rumours

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde are currently collaborating for the film Radhe Shyam. The film was announced months ago, during the lockdown. In the past few days, rumours are rife that there is a rift between Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. Reportedly, the Housefull 4 actor’s unprofessional behaviour has left Prabhas miffed. It is said that Pooja was coming late to the sets of Radhe Shyam, always, which eventually led to everyone waiting for her. However, now the makers of Radhe Shyam have reacted to the rumours. They issued a statement clarifying the speculations.

According to a report in IndiaToday, UV creations said in their statement that the reports of a rift between Prabhas and Pooja are ‘completely baseless’. It stated that the actors have ‘great respect’ and ‘admiration’ for each other. The statement also mentioned that Prabhas and his co-star share a great camaraderie off-screen and that Pooja has been very punctual on the sets. The makers of Radhe Shyam called the rumours a ‘figment of someone’s imagination’.

The statement by UV creations read, “These reports are completely baseless. Prabhas and Pooja Hedge have great respect and admiration for each other. In fact, they share a great camaraderie off-screen and that has translated into some magical onscreen chemistry. Pooja has always been very punctual for her shoots. She is very easy to work with. These rumours are merely a figment of someone’s imagination. All is well between the leading pair and the entire team is very excited to bring audiences a theatrical experience they won’t forget (sic).”

Meanwhile, Prabhas and Pooja Hegde have wrapped up the shooting of Radhe Shyam. It is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and is a period fantasy film, set in Europe in the 1970s. Pooja plays the role of Princess Prerana in the movie, while Prabhas essays the role of a fortune teller named Vikramaditya. The film is slated for a theatrical release on January 14, next year.
