EXCLUSIVE: Rakshit Shetty opens up on his equation with ex-fiancée Rashmika Mandanna

Rakshit Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna were one of most loved couples back then. The duo worked together in Kirik Party and started dating during the shoot of the film. After dating for a while, they got engaged in 2017. However, a year later, they shocked fans after they called off their engagement. Even though they are no longer together, they continue to remain good friends.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rakshit Shetty talked about his equation with Rashmika Mandanna. The 777 Charlie actor said that he shares a cordial relationship with her.

Rakshit added, “I wish her on her birthday and she wishes me on my birthday. We are on a very friendly term that way.”

For the uninitiated, after they called off their engagement, Rashmika was brutally trolled by the actor’s fans. At that time, Rakshit had issued a statement post their separation requesting everyone to not judge Rashmika for calling off the engagement.

The actor’s statement read, “You all have formed opinions about Rashmika. I don’t blame any of you because that’s how it is projected. I have known Rashmika for more than two years and I have known her better than any of you. There are many factors that are acting here. Please stop judging her. Please let her be in peace.”

Talking about his film 777 Charlie, the adventure comedy-drama film is directed by Kiranraj K. It stars Rakshit, Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait and Bobby Simha. The movie is produced by Rakshit and CS Gupta under Paramvah Studios. It is all set to be released on 10 June, 2022.
