Not just that, in the morning even Alia Bhatt had celebrated this big news, sharing it on her Instagram stories and writing, “what a moment (sic)”. This is a remarkable feat as this is the first time that an Indian film’s song has entered in the category of Best Music (Original song). Naatu Naatu became a rage in India on its release, and its thunders are being heard even in the West as the song has already been nominated internationally in three more reputed award shows, including the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and Hollywood Critics Association Awards. The film itself has garnered a lot of international recognition, with many big names from the West lauding its appeal. Here’s wishing for the song to make it to the final nomination list for Oscars 2023 that will be unveiled on January 24, 2023.
