After actor Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video went viral on social media, a complaint was filed against it. The latest update on the case was that the Delhi police managed to arrest the creator and an investigation is currently underway. With this latest update, Rashmika Mandanna is extremely relieved as the creator of her deepfake video is now arrested. She took to her Instagram stories and dropped a statement, expressing her gratitude towards Delhi police.

The Animal actor wrote, “Expressing my heartfelt gratitude to @DCP_IFSO. Thank you for apprehending those responsible. Feeling truly grateful for the community that embraces me with love, support and shields me. Girls and boys – if your image is used or morphed anywhere without your consent. It is wrong! And I hope this is a reminder that you are surrounded by people who will support you and action will be taken!“

Earlier, when the deepfake video went viral on social media, Rashmika Mandanna expressed her disappointment on the same. She said, “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me. But also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused. Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well-wishers who are my protection and support system.“

Several stars even supported her and voiced out their concerns over the same. Even her rumoured boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda reacted to her deepfake video.
