Rashmika Mandanna replaces Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Rainbow but latter’s comment wins the internet

Actor Rashmika Mandanna, who shares a close bond with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, replaced her in the movie, Rainbow, one which she announced recently. The Mission Majnu actress shared photos from the mahurat of Rainbow and asked her fans for love and blessings. Despite replacing Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Rainbow, Rashmika Mandanna and the Shaakuntalam actress continue to shell major friendship goals.

Although Rashmika replaced Samantha in Rainbow, the actress showered best wishes on the former. The Shaakuntalam actress reacted to a post made by Madanna on Instagram. In the comments section of the post, Samantha wrote, “All the best,” followed by a smiley emoticon.

On Instagram, Rashmika Mandanna shared photos from the launch of Rainbow and announced her new project. She called the movie a ‘beautiful gift’ from nature, one that everyone can just sit back and watch, but can’t touch.

In her announcement post, the actress wrote, “Rainbow.. it’s a beautiful gift from nature that you can just sit back and watch but you can’t touch.. This story is something so amazing that I can’t put it in words but can only bring alive for all of you onscreen.. and for it, I need your love and blessings.. this is not possible without you.. and I hope I make you happy with this one…#RM22.“

For the unversed, reports in a section of the media suggest that Samantha was initially approached for a key role in Rainbow. She was even announced as the lead, about 18 months ago. However, after date issues, the actress had to step out.

Speaking of Samantha and Rashmika, they have always shared a close bond of friendship, with each other. On many occasions, the actresses have showered love on each other, via social media posts and even extended support.

Meanwhile, it was only recently when Mandanna shared a photo of her from the sets of Rainbow. Many speculated the actress shared her first look from Rainbow.

On the work front, Samantha is gearing up for the release of her Pan-India film titled Shaakuntalam. She also has Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda, in her kitty.

Work-wise, Rashmika has the Allu Arjun co-star Pushpa: The Rule and a movie with Nithin and Chiranjeevi, in the pipeline, apart from Rainbow.
