Rashmika Mandanna still in touch with ex-fiance Rakshit Shetty, latter reveals

Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty got engaged in 2017, but a year later, the ex-couple broke it off. However, the two remain to be on cordial terms. And recently, Rakshit revealed that they still keep in touch with each other.

In an interview with IndiaGlitz Telugu, Rakshit was asked about his current equation with Rashmika. the actor-filmmaker revealed that they still keep in touch with each other. He said, “Me and Rashmika, we message each other once in a while. Not like in a constant touch, but whenever my film is releasing, she messages and wishes me the best. And, whenever her film releases, I wish her. On birthdays, we exchange wishes.”

Rakshit and Rashmika met on the sets of Kirik Party and fell in love. They started dating each other during the filming and in July 2017, the couple got engaged. However, a year later, in September 2018, they broke the wedding off citing compatibility issues. In an interview with us last year, the actor had spoken about Rashmika. He had said, “I wish her on her birthday and she wishes me on my birthday. We are on a very friendly term that way.“

On the professional front, Rakshit is currently basking in the success of his latest Kannada film Sapta Sagardaache Ello: Side A. As for Rashmika, she will be next seen in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, whose teaser was recently released. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri. Animal has a release date of December 1, 2023.
