‘Rocky’ Yash says “KGF 3 will happen for sure”; reveals, “Me and Prasanth Neel will come up with something massive”

Yash fans are eagerly waiting for the superstar fans to return to the big screen as Rocky in the third instalment of the KGF film series. And now there’s an update. During a recent chat, the Kannada superstar not only confirmed he will be playing Ravan in the Ranbir Kapoor-led Ramayana, but Yash also spoke about KGF: Chapter 3. Read on to know what he said.

When asked about KGF 3, Yash told The Hollywood Reporter India, “KGF 3 will happen for sure, I promise. But I am focusing on these two projects [Toxic and Ramayan]. We keep talking about it, we have an idea… once it is right time… it is massive so that is also something that really needs all our attention and focus.”

He went on to add, “We really do not want to cash on anything because the audience has given us enough so we are going to doing it in a way that they will be proud of. It is a cult. They have accepted that character at such a level. Me and Prasanth [Neel, the director] keep discussing, whether we will come up with something massive this time.”

Yash essayed the role of Rocky Bhai in both KGF Chapter 1 and KGF Chapter 2. The first installment impressed not only the Kannada-speaking audience but also the nationwide audience. The second film in the franchise had a wider release and became one of the highest-grossing films in India, including the Hindi region. In the post-credit scene of KGF: Chapter 2, KGF: Chapter 3 was hinted at by showing a clip of John Booker, a CIA agent, hands over a file consisting of Rocky’s crimes in the USA and 16 other countries between 1978 and 1981, to Ramika Sen 3 months after his death.
