Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer RRR hit the theatres like a tsunami in March this year. The SS Rajamouli directorial brought the audience back into theatres and smashed several box office records. Here is an exciting update on the magnum opus. SS Rajamouli has confirmed that RRR 2 is in development and further added that his father is already working on the sequel’s story.
As per several reports, at an event in Chicago, SS Rajamouli confirmed that a sequel of the Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer is already in development.
The Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer was screened in Chicago on November 12 and during the same event, Rajamouli announced that the sequel to the film is in development as he said, “My father is a story writer for all my films. We discussed a bit about RRR 2 and he’s working on the story”.
The filmmaker was speaking at the special show that happened at Music Box Theatre in Chicago, Illinois where he received standing applause from the audience.
The news was confirmed by film trade expert Sumit Kadel on Twitter. He wrote, “SS RAJAMOULI confirms the development of #RRR2 ..”

RRR is a fictional tale of Indian revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju played by Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem played by Jr NTR. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in key roles. RRR earned close to Rs 1200 crore worldwide at the box office. It is at present on a winning spree in Japan too.
