Superstar Salman Khan and the cast and crew of Sooraj Barjaty’s family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo recently celebrated Diwali with a band of youngsters from Dharavi. The Band Diwali Rocks is an educational project between blueFROG and the Acorn Foundation, an NGO working for the welfare of slum children and ragpickers of Asia’s largest slum.
It was Salman’s idea to spend his Diwali a bit hatke this time around. And hence the decision to celebrate the festival amidst the Dharavi Rocks band members. The kids had fun time jamming with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and his co-star Sonam Kapoor. The duo were promoting their upcoming film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that hits the theaters on November 12.
The children from Dharavi Band make music out of junk like buckets, old tins, wooden plans, and other waste materials. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Kapoor too had interacted with the kids on earlier occassion.
