Samantha Akkineni is planning to buy a home in Mumbai; Here’s why

Last week, much to fans’ dismay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced that are separating as husband and wife. The couple who got married in 2017 shared the same note and announced their separation on social media. A part of their joint statement read, “To all our well-wishers, after much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths.”

And now, we have learned that Samantha Akkineni is buying a second home in Mumbai. As per News18.com’s report, after the super success of The Family Man 2, she is now making inroads in Bollywood and wants to buy a permanent residence in Mumbai. The Super Deluxe actress has reportedly asked her close aides in Mumbai to look out for a house in posh areas of the city. One must note that she will continue to stay in Hyderabad and will only come down to Mumbai for work.

A source close to the development told the publication, “While Samantha Akkineni in one of her fan interactions has denied moving to Mumbai, the actor is actually looking for a house in the city. She has seen a few houses in Juhu, Khar and Bandra (suburban Mumbai) and is yet to finalize it. This won’t be her permanent home and will continue to juggle between the two cities. She will continue staying in Hyderabad but will also have a new address in Mumbai.”

The source added that the South star has become really popular after the success of The Family Man 2 and has been receiving many offers from the Hindi film industry. She is already in talks with Amazon Prime Video for another project. She has been traveling to Mumbai for script discussions with many filmmakers and will spend a considerable time in the city and that’s why she needs a permanent home in the financial capital.

On the work front, the actress has currently taken a sabbatical and is gearing up for her next i..e Shaakuntalam. She will also be seen in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. In the film, she is sharing screen space with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
