Samantha Akkineni pens a heartwarming note as she wraps up Shakuntalam shoot; says, ‘This film will stay with me for the rest of my life’

Samantha Akkineni who is headlining the mythological film Shakuntalam has wrapped up the shoot. The team hosted a special party for The Family Man actress. Director Gunasekhar was also present at the party. Samantha shared a pic from the wrap-up party on her Instagram handle. She was in a white kurta dress and was all smiles as she hugged the director in the pic.

Samantha penned a lengthy note alongside the pic to thank Gunasekhar whom she addressed as ‘fairy godfather’ and the entire team of Shakuntalam.

Her post read: “And it’s a wrap on Shaakuntalam !!This film will stay with me for the rest of my life. As a little girl I believed in fairy tales .. not much has changed .I still do ❤️….and@gunasekhar1 sir my fairy godfather ☺️ making my dream a reality . When he narrated this film to me I was immediately transported to a most beautiful world .. the world of Shaakuntalam.. a world like no other. But I was nervous and scared .Was it possible for us to create such beauty on celluloid.??”

She further wrote, “Today as I say my goodbyes , I have such an immense feeling of love and gratitude ,to this absolutely incredible human @gunasekhar1 sir ,for he has created a world that has exceeded all my expectations .The inner child in me is dancing with joy. Thankyou sir and thank you to the best team ever”.

Towards the end of the post, the pretty actress wrote that she feels like the “most special girl in the world”.

Gunasekhar also shared the same pic and wrote, “Your child-like innocence, delicacy and above all your STRONG WILL inspire me…our “Shakuntala”.”

Shakuntalam also stars Allu Arjun’s daughter Arha who is making her debut with this film in Telugu. Recently, she wrapped up her portions in the film.
