Samantha reveals her ‘plans have crumbled’ post her split with Naga Chaitanya

Much to everyone’s disappointment, actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their divorce on October 2. They have officially released a statement on their respective Instagram handles, saying that they have officially parted ways as husband and wife but will have a cordial relationship. After the split, many criticised the couple but now, in a recent interview, Samantha mentioned how her carefully laid plans crumbled post her split with Chaitanya.

While speaking on Film Companion, during the actors’ roundtable, Samantha shared, “Yes, they are going to troll and abuse you but then, disagreements happen even between friends and family, right?” as Samantha opened up about fans’ opinions post her split.

“With everything that has happened with my personal life in 2021, I really have no expectations. All my carefully laid plans have crumbled. I have no expectations; I am open to whatever the future has in store for me. I just know that I will give it my very best,” The Family Man 2 actress shared.

Meanwhile, during her official announcement, the Makkhi actress mentioned, “After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us.”

Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya were married for three years before they called it quits. The couple tied the knot on October 7 in 2017 and announced the separation on October 2.
