Samantha Ruth Prabhu gets a call from ex-husband Naga Chaitanya as she battles Myositis diagnosis

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu left her fans and friends in shock with her recent revelation. The Family Man 2 actress is diagnosed with Myositis, an auto-immune condition. The Oo Antava girl was flooded with get well soon messages. Reportedly Samantha’s ex-husband actor Naga Chaitanya also called the actress to inquire about her health.

Rumours abounded that Nagarjuna Akkineni and his son Naga Chaitanya were planning to visit Samantha after she recently revealed that she was diagnosed with Myositis.

As per a report in Gulte quoted by FilmiBeat, Although Naga Chaitanya hasn’t visited Samantha post her diagnosis, the report suggests that the Laal Singh Chaddha actor has apparently called Samantha to inquire about her health. But there are no confirmation of the same as yet.

Samantha had taken to Instagram and revealed that she was being treated for Myositis. Sharing a picture from the hospital, Samamtha wrote, “A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon.”

Naga Chaitanya’s brother Akhil Akkineni was one of the first to wish Samantha a complete recovery. He took to the comments section and wrote, “All the love and strength to you dear Sam (sic),” with a heart emoji.

On the work front, Samantha is waiting for the release of her upcoming film, Yashoda. Helmed by director duo Hari and Harish, the film is slated to hit the theatres on November 11 in multiple languages.
