Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the most sought-after actresses. She has given some stellar performances in the last few years. Last year, she revealed in an Insta post of being diagnosed with auto-immune disorder called, myositis. Sam is not seen making public appearances these days owing to her health but she shares her health updates with fans on social media. Since few days, there have been reports doing the rounds that Samantha has opted out of her upcoming projects including Citadel owing to her health. But as per reports in a few entertainment portals, a source has rubbished the reports.
Pinkvilla quoted a source saying “Anything and everything that is written about her being replaced in Citadel is rubbish. She will begin the shoot in the second half of January”.
For the unversed, Citadel is a much-awaited project that will release in multiple languages. The American and Indian versions have already been announced. It is said to be a science fiction series and is created by Patrick Moran and the Russo brothers. Varun’s first look has been unveiled recently. The Indian version will be headlined by Varun Dhawan and Samantha and will be helmed by The Family Man fame creators, Raj and DK. The American version will star Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra.
Talking about Samantha, she revealed her myositis diagnosis in October last year. On the work front, she will be seen in mythological drama Shaakuntalam. On Monday, she announced the film’s release date with a romantic poster. It will release on February 17.
The Yashoda actress will also be seen in Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda in the male lead.
